Word of the Day

Ado

Starting today, I am running a new Word of the Day series here on the blog. Most of the words will come from my book, Guardian of Giria, although I will occasionally include other words I find interesting or which I notice people sometimes misspell or don’t understand, such as today’s word, Ado. Many of the words will have more than one meaning, but for the sake of simplicity I will only include one definition, based on a particular use within the story. The words will be posted each morning, Monday to Friday.

On Saturdays, I will feature an Idiom of the Week, again based on idioms used in Guardian of Giria. And on Sundays, I will take a well-deserved rest!

These words and idioms are aimed at middle-grade and YA readers, and particularly at those for whom English is a second language. I hope you find them interesting and useful!
